- Starts the week of January 6th, 2019

- 10 game regular season, followed by single elimination playoffs

- Cost:  

Early Bird (Now-12/29):     $3,200 per team

Regular (starting 12/29):     $3,400 per team

AAHL Overview

The Apex Adult Hockey League (AAHL) is a competitive, non-check, coed Apex Adult Hockey League (AAHL) in-house at the Apex Center Ice Arena, 13150 W. 72nd Ave. Coed adult divisions for ages 18+ with 3 seasons annually: Fall (September), Winter (January), Spring/Summer (May). Both evening and lunch divisions play 10 regular season games concluding with single elimination playoffs, a team trophy retained by the AAHL and individual awards or t-shirts.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARD RINGERS, NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR, ABUSE OF OFFICIALS OR LEAGUE STAFF.

USA Hockey Registration
The AAHL is a USA Hockey sanctioned adult league. Please register for USA Hockey prior to starting the registration process.  Certified USA Hockey referees and rules will be used.

DIVISIONS
C - Designed for the intermediate player. Tuesday nights.
D - Designed for the intermediate/recreational player. Monday nights.
Over 40 - Designed for the intermediate/recreational player. Sunday nights.

LUNCH LEAGUE
Designed for the intermediate/recreational player.

Thursday Lunch League: 11:30 am-1 pm

Friday Lunch League: 12-1:30 pm

AAHL FAQs

  • When does the next season start?

    • The Apex Adult Hockey League has three season throughout the year: Winter (January-April), Summer (May-August), and Fall (September-December).

    • Each season is 10 regular season games followed by single elimination playoffs.

  • What levels/divisions do you have?

    • Over 40 – Sunday nights: Designed for recreational/intermediate players

    • D league – Monday nights: Designed for recreational/intermediate players

    • C league – Tuesday nights: Designed for intermediate/competitive players

  • Do you take free agents?

    • Yes, we take free agents – however, we cannot guarantee placement. The league will do our best to find a spot for each free agent, but needs vary by team each season.

    • To sign up as a free agent, please email ApexHockey@ApexPRD.org with the following information: Your name, age, division you hope to join, position, and highest level played.

  • Is the AAHL a USA Hockey registered league?

    • Yes, players must be registered with USA Hockey. It is $40 per year. For more information visit: USA Hockey Registration

  • Who certifies AAHL officials?

    • All referees are members of CIHRA, the Colorado Ice Hockey Referees Association. For more information visit: CIHRA
